I did for the most part like school.

I was a girl with glasses who liked science and maths…. what do you think? I moved to a 6th Form College to do my A-levels partly so I could start over socially (but also because they offered Further Maths, unlike my schools 6th form).

I was once told I was a nerd, but not a geek. I’m not sure if that was meant as a compliment or not, or if the usage of the terms has changed. There was no such think as “geek chic” when I was at school! 😉

School was alright. I didn’t particularly enjoy it or dislike it. I was bullied a bit but I guess I was mean to other kids too.

I did enjoy Sixth form though, when I had a lot more freedom and was studying subjects I liked.

I was probably on the nerd side of the spectrum, but I somehow managed to hang out with the ‘populars’ sometimes. Probably when they found I would help them in class!

I liked school most of the time but I did find some lessons boring (not science though). I guess I was probably somewhere between the ‘nerds’ and the ‘populars’. We used to call nerds boffins when I was at school.

I liked school because I got to meet my friends and I did enjoy a lot of subjects (not Physics though, funny eh?) and I suppose I was one of the nerds (but a lot of people in my school were). So, lots of friends means perhaps I was a popular nerd?

I didn’t like my secondary school at all because I was bullied because I was clever and a little bit chubby! I was definitely not one of the populars!

But when I went to college it was like a new start and I met loads of new, really awesome people, and I was really popular then. I think it all depends on what the other people in your school are like. If it’s tough you just have to hang on in there and be yourself, and it always gets better. If you’re one of the populars, you should be nice to everyone because you never know where life will take you!
