It’s mostly like baby food, which some people like! Michael Collins (the guys that drove Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to the moon) said that a tube of rehydrated chicken soup was like the best thing he’d ever tasted, so it can’t all be bad.

An interesting thing happens in space because smells don’t really. Since smell is a big part of something’s flavour astronauts can’t taste as well. This means they like spicy foods for example because they’re easier to taste!

The guys on the ISS sometimes get deliveries of fresh food as well, because they need the vitamins.

I’ve never tried it, I imagine it would get a bit boring eating the same things all the time though.

I think it’s not so bad these days. I saw a TV show once about the cooks who work to feed the astronauts. It was quite interesting…

I’ve never tried it, but people have told me that its quite tasty, especially the ice cream!

I always feel like I’m eating space food when i’m eating Special K with red berries – because the berries are all freeze dried and crunchy and with a really intense flavour! Plus I really like Special K, so I could happily live off that in space!
