Depends what you mean. There are lots of symbiotic relationships between plants and animals, coral being one of the most well known. It wouldn’t really be possible to get something that was half plant half animal, but it is possible to get things that don’t really fall into either group. What would you say bacteria were?

Top half or bottom half animal?!

Because plants and animals have been evolving on their own lines for billions of years, there is such a difference in their DNA and how they work, that you’d never be able to get them to stick together into one creature. We can’t even get half a human and half a chimp!

The ‘Day of the Triffids’ is an awesome book where man eating plants take over the world. I would recommend!
