      You mean could there be a planet with big blue aliens…. well the Universe is a big place, so I don’t see why not. Visiting it might be more tricky – because the Universe really is very very big…

      Well, the world is already 3D so that bit is real.

      The blue people…. no reason there couldn’t be blue people.

      Evil giant corporations searching for natural resources hunting the native people… yep, we already do that quite a bit!

      I don’t think we would be able to talk to the aliens though, and the whole ‘avatar’ bit of the film isn’t going to be possible with our current knowledge – being able to jump our consciousness into another genetically engineered body is a bit far fetched!

      The big blue aliens with companion dragon things – possibly, because space is so huge!

      But people really understand the brain and conssciousness enough yet to be able to ‘swap minds’ with anything, let alone a genertically weird alien! Maybe by the time we’ve found Pandora and got there to bully the aliens, we’ll have worked that out too…
