Darwin’s theory of evolution is the best one we currently have, because it explains all the animals we see alive today, as well as all the things we see fossilised in the rocks.
Other explanations, like animals were created by God, or they were put there by aliens, don’t really fit with what we see, because we have fossils that go back billions of years, and we an see gradual changes in animals as they adapt to their environment.
All the evidence points towards life developing through evolution via natural selection. I read a book disputing it once, but basically everything they said was them misunderstanding the evidence or deliberately ignoring it.
I have to say that I strongly disagree with the theory of evolution, I believe in creation. The ‘proof’ for evolution is not strong, where is the proof for creation is extremely strong, and once you see the proof for creation, you will see that it is obvious, everything was created.
