• Question: Have you ever discovered a brand new galaxy or planet?

      I don’t really work on finding new planets, stars or galaxies, but I have taken part in a kind of game on the internet (which I think Karen is involved in) where you can look at the light coming back from a star and try to see if there has been an eclipse – like you would get if there was a planet going in front of it. Thousands of people are helping to do this, and they’ve found loads of new planets going round other stars in our galaxy.

      I’m afraid not, but I hope that my work will help others (or perhaps myself, if I’m lucky) discover new planets.
