• Question: I only want to find a easy one first, like maybe a snail or something, where would be best?

      It depends where you live!

      If you are near the south coast, then you should go to Lyme Regis in Dorset – on the beach there they have lots of ammonites, which are a kind of curled up squid. You can pick them up on the beach quite easily.

      If you are in Wales, you should go to somewhere where there is coal, and you might be able to find fossil leaves or branches, because it is the plants that made up the coal.

      And if you live in the north, then you can find ammonites or trees, or even reptiles in Whitby on the east coast!
