• Question: if you were not a scienctist, do you think your job would be benifited by your research?

      I think I’ve learnt a lot from science, not necessarily just knowledge.

      Things like being inquisitive, thorough, and systematic, being able to organise my own time and set targets, and writing good proposals would all come in handy in another job!

      I think the skills I’ve learnt as a researcher would be beneficial for lots of different jobs.

      Great question!

      Personally, yes, I think research is not all about *what* you learn, but *how* you learn. So by doing research, I have taught myself how to think about things i an organised way, and to design and test solutions to problems.

      If you mean would I benefit from what I have found out during my research, not directly, but it is in human nature to be curious, and it it pretty cool to have answers to that curiosity.
