Lots of religions involve one or lots of gods as part of their beliefs, but there is no scientific evidence for the existence of a God who affects anything in the universe. Everything that we see in the world and in space can be explained by the scientific theories based on physical laws.

But scientists don’t *try* to disprove God, and lots of scientists are still religious as well as doing science. God and religion is a personal belief, and depends more on people’s opinions, feelings and upbringing than physical evidence.

As a scientist I don’t believe anything until there’s evidence for it.

But most religious people think that faith is important, and that faith should happen without evidence.

Like Leila says, it’s a personal belief, but science says it’s not real until there’s evidence for it.

Personally I’m not religious, but I know lots of people (Including scientists) who are religious. Being a scientist doesn’t prevent you from believing in God.

As a scientist I think I should just say I’ve never seen the evidence.

Beyond that it’s your personal opinion/belief and science has no comments on that.
