Question: is space weather connected to earth weather?

No, but Earth weather is connected to space weather! The variation of temperature/humidity/pressure that happens on Earth and we call weather is really feeble compared to the universe as a whole. But all these properties can be affected by outside influences like solar variation. An increased amount of ultraviolet would affect the chemistry in our atmosphere, for example.
