I think all scientists hope that they will make an amazing discovery or invention or theory that will change science.

Personally, I would like to fill in the gaps of our early fossil record, back when we were just getting started as bacteria, and use this to help direct the search for life in space. I would love to go and test my theories on Mars or Europa!

As long as I can help to extend our understanding of Mars I would be happy.

If I got to participate in a successful Mars mission I would be really happy.

But the happiest I could be would be if I got the chance to go and do some science myself on Mars!

I haven’t decided exactly what my field is yet! But I think that whatever I end up doing I would be pretty happy if other scientists (and non-scientists) were interested in my work.

My ultimate dream would be to help image a planet around another star with sufficient detail so that it could help us learn more about our planet.
