• Question: what would happen if the world split in half?

      I can’t think of any way this could happen. The Earth is held together by its own gravity…..

      Actually, gravity would probably just pull it back together again. Simples.

      I’m pretty sure this wouldn’t happen! But if there was some huge impact that smashed the earth into two bits, they might get spherical and turn into two planets that orbited each other…

      Hang on! That’s like a moon! That’s a little bit how our moon was formed!

      I can’t imagine the Earth splitting in half without such a huge force that everything else would be destroyed. But eventually, gravity would pull all the bits together. Like Leila said, that is almost how the moon was made.
