On Mars! Probably not going to happen though.

I would like to running my own planetary research and contributing to another Mars mission in some way, maybe designing one of the instruments. It would also be good to be doing research that would look forward to the human exploration of Mars.

In space! I am going to work with NASA this summer, on using algae to keep astronauts alive on the space station. I would love to go and try it out for myself, but I’ll probably have to do loads of training!

I’d like to have my own research group with PhD students to do all the hard work for me!

In ten years I’ll be in my mid-forties and have teenagers for children…. probably just around your age. Sometimes I wonder how I got so old already! 😉

Anyway, I’d like to still be working in science – preferably in a university where I can also teach a bit. I’d like to still be involved in communicating science in some way too.

I hope I’m happy, and have made some contributions between now and then. 🙂

To have my own office 🙂 More seriously, I’m happy doing what I do but to continue being a scientist means you have to keep becoming more senior so I would like to be a senior lecturer at a university. (Maybe not one in England, as it is not easy to find a job here.)
