If I could go safely and get back safely and didn’t have to be away from my family for too long then sure. I think the first people to go will have to be braver than me though, because I think they’ll have to be away for a really long time, and I think it will be quite dangerous for the first few times.

If I was offered the chance to go to Mars I’d take it immediately, even if it meant not coming back… That may sound a bit strange but I don’t have any strong ties, tend to move around a lot anyway and it’s always been my dream to see sunset on Mars. If I had a family of my own I would probably think twice.

It’s very possible that we will go to Mars, it only needs people to put in the effort and the money. It’s probably not possible to go to any of the other planets in the near future though.

I don’t think I would because the Earth is so diverse and interesting that although other places are also really interesting, and important to study, I want to learn more about where I live.

It certainly is possible to go, however, and humans have been studying on how to get to Mars for years and we could start building a project to go tomorrow if we wanted to spend the money. The main problem is how much it costs, not how we would do it. I suppose a sad fact is that if we spend a small part of the money that people do on the military (guns, tanks, fighter planes) then we could easily do it.

(Well, when I say ‘easily’ it would be really difficult, but it would be possible.)

Yes I would definitely go! I would love to go to Mars, but I’d really like to fly around in the thick atmosphere of Saturn’s moon Titan!

I think it’s in people’s human nature to want to explore, and for that reason I think there will be always people wanting to develop the technology needed to do it. It’s a pretty complicated process though, because you have to create a rocket that could get there, land, and take off without breaking, and you’d have to find a way to make all the oxygen you’d need, because you wouldn’t be able to take it all with you. I think we’d work out how to do it in the next 50 years or so though 🙂
